The Societies 2020 Convention is set to exhibit stunning photographs of Wiltshire Air Ambulance taken by award-winning Sony Europe imaging ambassador Terry Donnelly FSWPP. The photographs are to be exhibited in the trade show section of the convention from 23-35th January.

Waste and recycling changes over the Christmas period

Waste and recycling collection dates will change over Christmas and New Year. There will be no collections on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day but there will be catch-up collections on Saturday 28th December, 4th and 11th January. Garden waste collections will stop for two weeks over this period. The last collections will take place on Friday 20th December and they will restart on Tuesday 7th January. Collections will be one day later than normal during this week.

Keepers Overwhelmed by Response to Chipmunks’ Christmas Socks Appeal

An appeal for odd socks to help keep a family of chipmunks warm over Christmas has left keepers at Longleat overwhelmed by people’s generosity. Keepers at the Wiltshire wildlife attraction had issued a request for old socks for their chipmunks who use them as sleeping quarters and places to store their food. However they weren’t prepared for the extraordinary public response with literally hundreds of socks being sent in from as far afield at New Zealand.
