Casting has been announced for a new musical adaptation of Beatrix Potter’s The Tailor of Gloucester, premiering in The Salberg at Salisbury Playhouse this Christmas (9th - 28th December).

British breeding celebration ball to be held at Grittleton House

British Breeding, the organisation representing breeders of British Sport Horses, have chosen local venue, Grittleton House in Wiltshire, as the venue for their inaugural celebration ball. The black-tie event on Saturday 9th November will recognise the achievements of top-scoring participants in the 2019 British Breeding Baileys Horse Feeds Futurity series, which took place between July and September. Awards will be presented by Baileys to the top scoring foal, yearling, two-year-old and three-year-old within the dressage, endurance, eventing and showjumping discipline categories from the entire series.

£75 million Chippenham ring road scheme under discussion

The Gazette and Herald has reported that proposals for a £75 million ring road around Chippenham have been discussed at a top level Wiltshire Council meeting, with councillors responding to queries from members of the public. The proposals have met with some backlash, however, with the Council having declared an climate emergency and plans to go carbon neutral by 2030.
