From Monday 15 June, many of Malmesbury’s unique retailers and businesses will re-open for customers to shop local in the safe environment of the new social distancing scheme being installed in Malmesbury.

Work is taking place in the town in preparation for re-opening on 15th June, including changes in parking to create extra space for pedestrians in the Upper High Street and Oxford Street, making room for queuing outside shops and installing signage and information boards to help visitors move around the town centre safely and confidently.

All the changes are temporary and put in place after close consultation with retailers, businesses and Wiltshire Council. The town centre scheme is designed to support the retailers who are making alterations inside their own shops and businesses with the changes lasting for as long as needed to ensure public safety.

Malmesbury has a fantastic range of shops and businesses who are adapting as fast as they can - whilst meeting government guidelines, to offer local, innovative and welcome services as re-opening continues. Ongoing details of shops open and their services will be published on Facebook. Like & Follow @discovermalmesbury
