Burton Grange

This one-and-a half-acre garden has been created from scratch since 2014, it includes lawns, borders, a large ornamental pond, some gravel planting, vegetable garden and a pergola rose garden, together with a number of wonderful mature trees. Artist Sue Phipps’ studio will also be open.

Chisenbury Priory

East Chisenbury, SN9 6AQ.

Open 2pm-5.30pm

Admission £5, children free. Home-made teas.

Refreshments in aid of local church.

A Medieval priory with Queen Anne face and early 17th century rear (not open) set in the middle of a five-acre garden on chalk. This is a mature garden with fine trees within clump and flint walls, herbaceous borders, shrubs and roses. Discover moisture loving plants along mill leat, carp pond, orchard, and wild garden.


Salthrop House

Salthrop House is a manor house garden set on the edge of the Marlborough Downs. A tremendous variety of perennials, shrubs, borders, and pots unfurl themselves across this romantic garden and surround the sweeping lawn. You can wind your way through the woodland paths, enjoy a moment of peace by the pond or visit the new greenhouse and kitchen garden. Also open on Friday 9th and Saturday 10th June.

Cholderton Estate

Kingsettle Stud, Cholderton Park, Cholderton, SP4 0DX.

Open: 2pm-4.30pm Admission £5, children free.

Light refreshments, teas, coffees and cakes in the courtyard at Kingsettle Stud. the Estate’s Grade II listed stable block.

This is a newly opened garden for 2023. It includes a striking Victorian walled garden featuring a 100-year-old peony walk and a working kitchen garden. In the arboretum there is a wildlife garden with a maze and numerous tree species. There are no steps, but the ground is uneven.
